To get the best out of clover, it is important to manage the balance between clovers and grasses. Modern clovers, especially red clovers, can be very aggressive if sown in the spring. If sown too thick, they can prevent the grass from establishing successfully. Oliver's Red Clover 'Hi-Pro' mixtures now contain less clover seed in the spring than in autumn. The balance is controlled from the start.
