Entry Level Stewardship Mixtures (ELS)
Running into it's third year in 2007, this scheme aims to provide real benefits to the environment. OLIVER SEEDS offer a comprehensive and carefully formulated range for this year. Grass mixtures for cross compliance, field margins and field corner situations are available as are more colourful, insect friendly options such as the Pollen & Nectar mix. New Wildbird seed mixtures for one or two year durations are also available. OLIVER SEEDS have unrivalled access to a full range of seeds and are happy to formulate to any specification.

Game Cover Crops
A wide range of crop options for providing cover and extra Winter feed for wild birds, mammals and game. This section includes a selector identifying the periods of the season, for which each crop provides feed or cover. Kale, Maize, Millet and our bird cover mixtures continue to be best selling products, but there is increasing interest in the use of Sorghum.

Equine Grass Solutions
As the number of horses in Britain rises, there is an increasing requirement for land to be sown specifically for equine use. Much of this is for hard wearing and palatable grazing, but also for exercise areas, cross-country courses and fodder production. This section details mixtures designed for this market including a new Herb grazing mix and two new Event mixtures.

Landscaping and Amenity Grass Solutions
The company also has a highly successful amenity seed business. We have included a selection of mixtures to meet the everyday requirements for lawns, sports, landscaping and wild flower areas.
Set Aside and Green Manuring
There is an increasing awareness of the value of green cover crops on all farms, especially with the implementation of more stringent environmental legislation to control water quality and soil erosion. This section details perennial, annual and catch crop options designed to improve soil structure, suppress weeds, increase fertility and minimise leaching and soil erosion.
