Sheep prefer Winfred!

A great result for the specialist Forage Rape “Winfred” was observed in two recent grazing trials which compared Winfred, Swift, Napoleon and Autumn Feed.

Two weeks into grazing we were alerted by the farmer that: “Very interesting things were happening in the forage crop field! The sheep are camped in the Winfred all the time; they graze it nearly to the floor, and then break through the fence to get at it again!”

In the second trial the farmer commented, “I would never believe that lambs could be so choosy. It is obvious to me that Winfred has something the stock prefer, and their conversion rate seemed to be so much quicker when they were concentrating on the Winfred”.
